A real problem often becomes the starting point of meaningful innovation.
In early 2025, a simple travel situation turned into the seed of an idea. While planning a trip with a friend, we faced an unexpectedly common problem — finding reliable bus information was extremely difficult. We had to visit the bus stand, ask multiple operators, and still remain uncertain about availability and timings.
What seemed like a one-time inconvenience quickly revealed itself as a widespread issue. Conversations with friends and fellow travellers confirmed that many people face the same challenge, especially when visiting new cities.
This recurring problem sparked a simple but powerful question:
Why is there no centralized system to track buses in India?
Today, millions of people rely on digital platforms to track trains and flights in real time. Yet, buses — one of the most widely used modes of transport in the country — remain largely untracked and unorganized.
That realization became the foundation of Track My Bus (TMB).
The vision behind TMB is to build a centralized, nationwide bus tracking platform, similar to how train tracking transformed rail travel. The goal is simple: to make bus travel more predictable, transparent, and convenient for everyone.
Track My Bus aims to track all types of buses — local city buses, intercity services, sleeper coaches, school buses, and luxury buses — bringing them onto one unified digital platform.
By combining GPS technology, cloud infrastructure, and mobile applications, TMB is working toward a future where passengers no longer need to rely on guesswork to plan their journeys.
This journey has just begun, but the mission is clear:
to bring reliability, visibility, and confidence to bus travel across India.
